Health Policies

When scholars come to school they should be focused on learning, not on concerns of their health or safety. Bloom Academy works together with scholars and families to ensure the health of every scholar on campus, both for physical health and mental health.

Immunizations are an important part of anyone’s health, especially a young scholar, for the body to develop immunities to certain illnesses, and to prevent the spread to others. The state of Texas requires children attending school to have certain vaccinations, and documentation shall be provided during the enrollment process. In addition to the required vaccines, there are additional vaccinations recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also listed below. If your scholar requires an exemption from immunizations you must provide the required form to support this, which is linked here as well.

It is important to note that none of this is intended to be or replace a physician’s qualified opinion and treatment for your child. Please consult your child’s doctor with any specific questions regarding immunizations.

As Bloom Academy ensures the health and safety of each scholar, knowledge of food allergies is of the utmost importance to protect a scholar’s health. Bloom Academy prohibits scholars from sharing food or snacks they bring from home with other scholars due to potential food allergy exposure. The TEA provides information regarding food allergies that can be found below. If your scholar has any food allergies please fill out the form and submit it to Bloom Academy for your scholar’s file.
